SENARY ONLINE BEAUTY ACADEMY

TERMS & CONDITIONS

These Terms & Conditions apply to courses, training and associated services provided by Senary Online Beauty Academy.

By purchasing or enrolling on a course, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

Our online courses combine flexible independent learning with educator support and assessment. Students are required to complete the relevant theory and practical requirements for their chosen course, including a live practical assessment via Zoom where required.

Successful enrolment onto a course does not automatically guarantee certification. Certificates are issued only when the required course content and assessments have been successfully completed and the required standard of competency has been demonstrated.

Students are responsible for ensuring that they meet any stated entry requirements or prerequisites before enrolling on a course.

COURSE ENROLMENT & PAYMENT

All course bookings are subject to availability and any entry requirements stated for the individual course.

Students are responsible for providing accurate information when enrolling, including their name, contact details and any previous qualifications required for entry onto the course.

The full course price and available payment options will be clearly displayed at the time of purchase.

Where payment is made using a third-party payment or instalment provider, the student's agreement with that provider will be subject to the provider's own terms and conditions.

Course access will be provided following successful enrolment and receipt of the required payment.

Course places and access must not be purchased on behalf of another person unless this has been agreed with Senary Online Beauty Academy.

Each course enrolment is for one student only. Login details, training materials, assessments and access to course content must not be shared with another person.

Senary Online Beauty Academy reserves the right to suspend course access where payment has failed, been reversed or remains outstanding.

COURSE ACCESS & COMPLETION

Online courses are designed to allow students to work through their theory and learning at their own pace.

Students are responsible for completing all required course modules, theory work, assessments and practical requirements before certification can be awarded.

Where a course requires a live practical assessment, this will take place via Zoom with an educator and must be successfully completed before the student can receive their certificate.

Students should ensure they have suitable internet access and an appropriate device to access their course materials and participate in any required live Zoom assessment.

Students are responsible for providing the products, equipment and a suitable model required for their practical work and assessment unless the individual course information states otherwise.

Any period of course access or completion deadline will be stated within the individual course information or communicated to the student following enrolment.

If a student is unable to complete their course within the stated access period, they should contact Senary Online Beauty Academy as soon as possible. Any extension of course access will be at the discretion of the academy.

Completion of the online learning materials alone does not constitute successful completion of the course. All required theory and practical assessments must be completed to the required standard before certification is issued.

LIVE ZOOM PRACTICAL ASSESSMENTS & PASSING REQUIREMENTS

Where required as part of a course, students must complete a live practical assessment via Zoom with their educator.

The purpose of the live assessment is to allow the educator to observe the student carrying out the treatment or practical procedure in real time and assess their competency.

Students may be assessed on areas including:

Practical technique and application

Health, safety and hygiene

Preparation of the treatment area

Client or model consultation

Correct use of products and equipment

Treatment procedure and professional practice

Client care and aftercare

Overall competency and understanding

Students must have a suitable model available where required and ensure they have all necessary products and equipment ready before the assessment begins.

The student must successfully demonstrate the required level of competency before a certificate can be issued.

If the required standard is not achieved during the first practical assessment, the student may be given feedback and asked to undertake further practice before completing a reassessment.

Reassessment requirements and any applicable fees will be communicated to the student before a further assessment is arranged.

Senary Online Beauty Academy will not issue a certificate solely because a course has been purchased or the online theory has been completed. Certification confirms that the required course elements and assessments have been successfully completed.

CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS

When purchasing a course online, consumers may have a statutory 14-day cancellation period in accordance with UK consumer law.

DIGITAL COURSE ACCESS

Where you request immediate access to digital course content before the end of the 14-day cancellation period, you will be asked to expressly consent to the digital content being supplied immediately and to acknowledge that your statutory right to cancel will be lost once supply of the digital content begins.

Where the required consent and acknowledgement have been provided and access to the digital course content has begun, you will no longer have the statutory 14-day right to cancel the digital content element of your purchase.

If you do not request immediate access to digital course content, your statutory cancellation rights will continue to apply in accordance with UK consumer law.

CANCELLATION REQUESTS

If you believe you are entitled to cancel your purchase, please contact Senary Online Beauty Academy as soon as possible.

Any refund that is legally due will be processed in accordance with applicable UK consumer law.

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects or limits your statutory consumer rights.

COURSE TRANSFERS

Course enrolments are for the named student and cannot be transferred to another person without prior written agreement from Senary Online Beauty Academy.

Senary Online Beauty Academy may consider exceptional circumstances individually and may, at its discretion, offer an alternative arrangement where appropriate.

RESITS, REASSESSMENTS & CERTIFICATION

Senary Online Beauty Academy is committed to ensuring that students demonstrate the required knowledge and practical competency before certification is awarded.

If a student does not achieve the required standard in a theory or practical assessment, this does not automatically mean that they have failed the entire course.

Where appropriate, the educator will provide feedback explaining the areas that require further development. The student may be asked to undertake additional study or practice before attempting a reassessment.

Practical reassessments may be conducted live via Zoom where applicable.

Any reassessment requirements, availability and applicable fees will be explained to the student before the reassessment is arranged.

CERTIFICATION

A course certificate will only be issued once the student has successfully completed all required elements of their course.

Depending on the course, this may include:

Completion of the required theory learning.

Successful completion of theory assessments.

Completion of required practical work or evidence.

Successful completion of a live Zoom practical assessment.

Demonstration of the required level of knowledge, safety and practical competency.

Certificates will not be issued simply because a course has been purchased or course materials have been accessed.

Students are responsible for ensuring that the name and personal details provided for certification are correct.

Where applicable, students should retain their certificate as evidence of successful course completion and may need to provide it to an employer, insurer or other relevant organisation.

TRAINING MATERIALS, COPYRIGHT & COURSE CONTENT

All course materials provided by Senary Online Beauty Academy are for the personal educational use of the enrolled student only.

This includes, where applicable:

Training manuals and workbooks.

Written course content and lesson materials.

Videos, demonstrations and tutorials.

Images, diagrams and educational resources.

Assessment questions and assessment materials.

Downloadable documents, templates and supporting resources.

Course presentations and educator resources.

Unless otherwise stated, course materials and original educational content remain the intellectual property of Senary Online Beauty Academy and/or the relevant copyright owner.

Students must not copy, reproduce, distribute, upload, publish, sell, resell or commercially exploit Senary Online Beauty Academy course materials without prior written permission.

Students must not share their course login details, digital course access, training manuals, assessment materials or other restricted course content with another person.

Course materials must not be uploaded to social media, websites, file-sharing platforms, online groups, training platforms or other public or private distribution services without permission.

Course materials must not be copied, adapted or used to create or deliver another training course without prior written permission from Senary Online Beauty Academy.

Where third-party materials, product information, images or resources are included within a course, ownership remains with the relevant copyright or intellectual property owner.

Unauthorised copying, distribution or commercial use of course materials may result in suspension or termination of course access and may result in further action where appropriate.

Nothing in these terms prevents a student from using the knowledge and practical skills they have legitimately gained through their training in their own professional beauty work.

STUDENT SUPPORT & WHATSAPP

Senary Online Beauty Academy provides ongoing educator support to students throughout their training.

Support may be provided through WhatsApp, email or another communication method specified by the academy.

Students are encouraged to ask questions if they are unsure about their course theory, practical techniques, assessment requirements or other aspects of their training.

Educator support is intended to assist students with their learning and development. While we aim to respond to student enquiries as soon as reasonably possible, immediate responses cannot be guaranteed.

Messages may be answered during reasonable working hours and students should allow appropriate time for a response, particularly during evenings, weekends, holidays or periods of high demand.

Where a WhatsApp student support group is provided, students must communicate respectfully and appropriately.

Students must respect the privacy of other group members and must not copy, screenshot, record, distribute or share another student's messages, photographs, videos or personal information without their permission.

Student support must not be used to share offensive, abusive, discriminatory, threatening or inappropriate material or communications.

Senary Online Beauty Academy reserves the right to remove a person from a student support group where their behaviour is inappropriate, disruptive or compromises the privacy or wellbeing of other students.

Where appropriate, students may contact their educator privately rather than discussing personal or assessment-related matters within a group.

Ongoing student support does not replace the requirement to successfully complete the relevant theory and practical assessments before certification can be awarded.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITIES, MODELS, PRODUCTS & EQUIPMENT

Students are responsible for ensuring that they have the appropriate products, equipment and tools required to complete their chosen course and practical assessment unless otherwise stated in the individual course information.

Students must follow the health, safety, hygiene and infection-control procedures taught within their course.

Where a model is required for practical work or a live Zoom assessment, the student is responsible for arranging a suitable model.

Students must ensure that their model is suitable for the treatment being performed and that appropriate consultation, consent, contraindication checks and any required pre-treatment procedures have been completed.

Students must not carry out a treatment where a contraindication is identified that would make the treatment unsuitable or unsafe.

Students are responsible for following manufacturers' instructions when using professional products and equipment, including any relevant safety precautions.

For live Zoom practical assessments, students are responsible for having:

A suitable device with a working camera and microphone.

A reliable internet connection.

Adequate lighting and a suitable working area.

All required products, tools and equipment prepared before the assessment.

A suitable model where required.

The camera must be positioned so that the educator can clearly observe the treatment and practical techniques being assessed.

If the educator cannot adequately observe the practical work due to camera positioning, connection problems or other technical difficulties, the assessment may need to be paused or rearranged.

Students must work within their level of training and competence and are responsible for obtaining any appropriate professional insurance required before providing treatments to paying clients.

Senary Online Beauty Academy reserves the right to stop or postpone an assessment if the educator believes that continuing would be unsafe for the student, model or any other person.

TECHNICAL PROBLEMS, ZOOM & COURSE PLATFORM ACCESS

Students are responsible for ensuring that they have suitable internet access and a compatible device to access their online training and participate in live Zoom practical assessments.

Senary Online Beauty Academy cannot guarantee that online services will operate without interruption at all times. Temporary disruption may occasionally occur due to maintenance, internet problems, technical faults or circumstances outside our reasonable control.

If a technical problem with the Senary Online Beauty Academy course platform prevents a student from accessing their training, the student should contact us so that we can investigate the issue and provide reasonable assistance.

LIVE ZOOM ASSESSMENTS

Students should check their internet connection, camera, microphone and device before attending a scheduled live Zoom practical assessment.

If a technical problem prevents an assessment from being completed, the educator will determine whether the assessment can continue or needs to be rearranged.

Students should contact their educator as soon as possible if they know that they will be unable to attend a scheduled assessment.

Senary Online Beauty Academy will make reasonable efforts to rearrange an assessment where genuine technical difficulties prevent it from taking place.

Students must not record, reproduce or distribute a live Zoom training or assessment session without prior permission from Senary Online Beauty Academy and any other person appearing in the session.

COURSE PLATFORM ACCESS

Course login details are personal to the enrolled student and must not be shared with another person.

Students must not attempt to bypass security measures, provide unauthorised access to course content or use another student's account.

Senary Online Beauty Academy may temporarily suspend access where reasonably necessary to investigate suspected misuse, security concerns or a breach of these Terms & Conditions.

COURSE CHANGES, CANCELLATIONS & CIRCUMSTANCES OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

Senary Online Beauty Academy may occasionally need to make reasonable changes to course content, learning materials, assessment arrangements or the way in which training is delivered.

Changes may be made to keep training current, improve course quality, reflect changes in industry practice, product guidance, health and safety requirements, accreditation requirements or other relevant professional standards.

Where a significant change affects a student's course, we will make reasonable efforts to inform the student and minimise disruption to their training.

LIVE ASSESSMENT CANCELLATIONS

In exceptional circumstances, an educator may need to cancel or rearrange a scheduled live Zoom practical assessment.

Where Senary Online Beauty Academy needs to rearrange an assessment, the student will be offered an alternative assessment appointment as soon as reasonably practical.

CIRCUMSTANCES OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL

Senary Online Beauty Academy will not be responsible for delays or disruption caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

These may include internet or technology failures, disruption to third-party services, serious illness, emergencies, severe weather, power failures or other unforeseen events.

Where such circumstances affect the delivery of training or an assessment, we will make reasonable efforts to provide an alternative arrangement where appropriate.

DISCONTINUED COURSES

If Senary Online Beauty Academy permanently discontinues a course that an enrolled student has not yet had a reasonable opportunity to complete, we will aim to provide an appropriate solution.

Depending on the circumstances, this may include continued access for a reasonable period, transfer to suitable alternative training or another appropriate remedy.

Nothing within this section affects a student's statutory consumer rights.

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE, INSURANCE & LIABILITY

Senary Online Beauty Academy provides professional education and training designed to help students develop the knowledge and practical skills covered within their chosen course.

Successful completion of a course does not remove the student's responsibility to work safely, professionally and within their own level of competence.

Students are responsible for ensuring that they comply with any legal, licensing, registration, insurance or other requirements that may apply to the treatments or services they intend to provide.

PROFESSIONAL INSURANCE

Students intending to provide treatments professionally are responsible for obtaining appropriate professional and public liability insurance where required.

Students should check with their chosen insurance provider that their qualification or certificate is acceptable for the treatments they intend to offer before providing services to paying clients.

PRODUCTS & EQUIPMENT

Students are responsible for using products and equipment safely and in accordance with their training and the manufacturer's instructions.

Senary Online Beauty Academy is not responsible for products or equipment purchased independently by a student, including their quality, suitability or performance.

PROFESSIONAL PRACTICE

Students must carry out appropriate client consultations, identify contraindications, obtain consent where required and follow appropriate hygiene, safety and aftercare procedures when carrying out treatments.

Students should not perform treatments that are outside their training or level of competence.

LIABILITY

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

Nothing within these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

Senary Online Beauty Academy will not be responsible for losses resulting from a student's failure to follow their training, safety procedures, manufacturer's instructions or applicable professional requirements where it is lawful to exclude responsibility for such losses.

COMPLAINTS & ASSESSMENT APPEALS

Senary Online Beauty Academy aims to provide students with a professional, supportive and fair learning experience.

If a student has a concern or complaint about their course, training, support or assessment, they should contact Senary Online Beauty Academy as soon as reasonably possible so that the matter can be reviewed.

COMPLAINTS

Students should provide as much relevant information as possible when making a complaint, including details of the issue and any supporting information that may help us investigate.

We will aim to consider complaints fairly and respond within a reasonable period.

Where further information is required, the student may be contacted before a final response is provided.

ASSESSMENT APPEALS

Students have the right to raise a concern if they believe that an assessment decision has not been made fairly or accurately.

An appeal should explain why the student disagrees with the assessment decision and provide any relevant supporting information.

The assessment decision and available evidence will be reviewed fairly.

Where appropriate, the student may be asked to provide further evidence, complete additional assessment activities or undertake a further practical assessment.

Submitting an appeal does not automatically mean that an assessment decision will be changed.

Students will be informed of the outcome once the appeal has been reviewed.

Where applicable, any additional complaints or appeals procedure required by the relevant accreditation or quality assurance organisation will also be followed.

Senary Online Beauty Academy will not disadvantage a student simply because they have raised a genuine complaint or assessment appeal.

CERTIFICATES, ACCREDITATION & USE OF QUALIFICATIONS

Certificates are awarded only after the student has successfully completed all required elements of their chosen course and demonstrated the required level of knowledge and practical competency.

Where applicable, this includes successful completion of theory assessments, practical work and a live Zoom practical assessment.

ACCREDITATION

Where a course is advertised as accredited, the relevant accreditation information will be stated within the individual course description.

Students are responsible for checking that a course and its accreditation are suitable for their individual professional, employment or insurance requirements before enrolling.

Accreditation does not automatically guarantee acceptance by every employer, local authority, insurer or other organisation. Requirements may vary, and students are encouraged to check with the relevant organisation or insurance provider before purchasing their course.

CERTIFICATES

Certificates will be issued in the name provided by the student during enrolment.

Students are responsible for ensuring that their name and other required details are correct before certification.

A certificate confirms successful completion of the course requirements but does not remove the student's responsibility to work safely, professionally and within their level of competence.

USE OF QUALIFICATIONS

Students must not claim to hold a qualification or certificate that they have not successfully achieved.

Students must not alter, reproduce or use a certificate in a misleading or fraudulent manner.

Where a student successfully completes their course, they may describe themselves as trained or qualified in the relevant treatment in accordance with the scope of the course completed.

Students remain responsible for obtaining appropriate insurance and complying with any legal, licensing or professional requirements that apply to the treatments they provide.
